The short version
Kizura is made by Reed Technology Consulting LLC. The app sends nothing to us. There is no account, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking SDK: we don’t watch what you do in the app, and we don’t sell or share your data. Apple handles purchases and, if you turn it on, iCloud.
What stays on your device
The people you add, their birthdays, notes, sizes, gift ideas, gift history, plans and reminders are stored on your device.
If you turn on iCloud Sync, they are also stored in your own private iCloud account so your devices stay in step. Apple stores that data under its own privacy policy, and we can’t access it.
Backup files you export are yours. They aren’t encrypted, so keep them somewhere safe.
If you tap Back Up Now in Settings › iCloud, a full copy is also saved in your private iCloud, even with sync off. Delete these backups in Backup History; Delete All Data doesn’t remove them.
Contacts and photos
When you open Import from Contacts, Kizura lists your contacts on your device so you can pick people (only the contacts you shared, if you gave limited access) and saves only the people you import, with their contact photo if Use Contact Photos is on. When you start a message, it looks up that person’s phone number. Contacts are never uploaded.
A photo you pick for someone is stored with their profile, on your device and in your iCloud if sync is on.
AI gift ideas
Gift ideas are generated on your device by Apple Intelligence. Nothing about the people you add is sent to us or to any AI service to make them. The feature is off until you turn it on.
Shopping
When you tap Shop, your browser opens a search on the store you chose for the words Kizura wrote for the idea (for example “cast-iron pizza pan”); if you saved a favorite store Kizura doesn’t know, its name is added so the search covers that store. Those words can reflect what you saved about the person, such as a favorite color or a size. The person’s name is taken out first.
When you tap Buy on a product link from a Shopify store, Kizura reads that store’s public product information and opens the store’s own checkout. The link contains only product identifiers. The store handles your order and payment under its own privacy policy; Kizura never sees them.
Messages
Kizura can draft a message and open it in Messages. It never sends anything on its own.
Purchases
Purchases are handled by Apple. We don’t receive your name or your payment details. When you buy, renew or get a refund, Apple notifies our server with nothing that says who you are, and we don’t keep those notices.
Notifications
Reminders are local notifications created on your device. If iCloud Sync is on, Apple sends silent notifications so your devices can sync; they carry no personal content from us.
This website
This website uses no cookies and no analytics. It remembers that you dismissed a language suggestion only until you close the tab. Our web server doesn’t keep a log of visits.
If you email us, we receive your address and what you write. We use them only to answer you, and we delete the conversation if you ask.
Your choices and deletion
Delete a person from their profile, or everything with Settings › Your Data › Delete All Data. Delete iCloud backups in Backup History, and remove Kizura’s iCloud data in your device’s iCloud storage settings. Contacts access, notifications, iCloud Sync and AI gift ideas can be turned off at any time. Because the app sends nothing to us, we normally hold nothing about you; if you have written to us, you can ask for a copy of that correspondence or ask us to delete it. In the EU or the UK you can also complain to your data protection authority.
Children
Kizura isn’t directed at children and collects no data from anyone.

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above.
